Aerators and Scarifiers

Scarifying is the process of removing moss and thatch from the lawn allowing water, sunlight and essential nutrients easier access to the grass roots. This helps to promote stronger, healthier growth and a more attractive, greener garden lawn. This can be achieved manually using a hand held lawn rake however, using a petrol powered scarifier for large lawns is far easier with superior results.

The best time to scarify or de-thatch your lawn is in spring when the temperature starts to rise and there is a lower risk of frost. This allows the grass time to recover before the warmer drier summer months.
