Stihl HSA60: The New Benchmark for AK System Hedge Trimming
The STIHL HSA 60 is the most powerful hedge trimmer in the AK System, designed for homeowners who need to manage large, dense hedges that require more than just a light tidy-up. While the HSA 50 is perfect for maintenance, the HSA 60 brings professional-grade features—like a rotating handle and a high-torque brushless motor—to your home tool kit.
With its generous 60 cm (24″) blade length, it allows you to cover more surface area with fewer passes, significantly speeding up your weekend garden projects.
Advanced Performance Features
Variable Speed Control: The rear trigger allows for infinitely variable stroke rates. You can use a lower speed for precise shaping or ramp it up to full power to slice through thick branches.
180° Rotating Handle: A standout feature in this class, the rear handle can be rotated 90° to the left or right and locked into three positions. This ensures you are always in an ergonomic position, whether you are cutting horizontally across the top or vertically down the sides.
Anti-Block System: If a thick branch stalls the blades, the intelligent motor automatically reverses the rotational direction to clear the jam quickly, reducing downtime and protecting the tool.
Extended Reach & Capacity: The 60 cm blade and wider 34 mm tooth spacing allow you to tackle branches up to 18 mm in diameter—significantly more robust than entry-level models.
Runtime with AK System Batteries
AK10 (Recommended): Up to 70 minutes
AK20: Up to 140 minutes
AK 30S: Up to 175 minutes
Why choose the HSA 60 over the HSA 50? Choose the 60 if you have long stretches of hedge where the rotating handle will save your wrists, or if you have older, woodier growth that requires the higher torque of the brushless motor and wider tooth spacing.
